Yuegong Heavy Industry employees won first, second and third prizes in the welding skills competition.

To improve the overall skill level of welders and guide employees to promote the spirit of craftsmanship, the Jiaxiang County Federation of Trade Unions, in conjunction with the County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the County Industry and Information Technology Bureau, held the 2020 Jiaxiang County "I Am the Champion" Welder Vocational Skills Competition on November 24. Zhao Qingguo, member of the Party Group and Director of the Audit Committee of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Huang Cuncai, Chairman of the County Federation of Trade Unions, and relevant leaders from the County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the County Industry and Information Technology Bureau also participated in the opening ceremony.

After rounds of selection and preliminary rounds, and a fierce final competition, Liu Zifang from Shandong Defeng Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. won the first prize, Yue Kaiyang won the second prize, and Jia Cunyi and Feng Zhidong won the third prize respectively.

This competition consists of two parts: a theoretical exam and a practical operation. The practical operation mainly assesses welders' skills in vertical shielded metal arc welding of plate butt joints and CO₂ gas shielded welding of large pipes at a 45° angle.

During the competition, the contestants from Defeng Heavy Industry remained calm and composed, and operated with meticulous care, striving for perfection in every part and weld, demonstrating excellent spirit and solid technical skills.
